

Bubble palace/ fish house
My 4 year old recently got a fish as a pet, she wanted a puppy but to my surprise seems quite happy with Laila the boy-fish. So this was another good excuse to play with clay and make a fish house, or as requested a fish palace! The concept was fairly easy, it is built with slabs using a small bowl as a slump mold. I added a cylinder on top for the tower. When the clay has stiffened a little you can cut out holes and add decorations like bubbles, seaweed, shells, a balcony.


Back to work!
The holidays are over, time to work again. Today I unloaded my first full kiln (though some things in this picture are not mine), what a pleasure that is! Taking the first peek: very happy!
