Trying to be more organized this year means I already have a full kiln load of bisqued pieces ready to be painted. The underglaze painting is a fun process but oh, so time consuming. I'm so ready to get my hands back into the clay again but I need a little more work fi...

My 4 year old recently got a fish as a pet, she wanted a puppy but to my surprise seems quite happy with Laila the boy-fish. So this was another good excuse to play with clay and make a fish house, or as requested a fish palace!

The holidays are over, time to work again. Today I unloaded my first full kiln (though some things in this picture are not mine), what a pleasure that is!

Made seven of them so far, let's see how they turn out.

Can you imagine fairies...

After spending a lot of my time on sculptures during the last few weeks I felt like making some functional pieces this week. I made a big 'patchwork' bowl and some vases in a strips-of-slab-coiling technique.

I guess I'll have to take a better picture when back in the w...

So my sculpture came out of the bisque firing almost completely intact, yeah! Now the hardest part, glazing! Have no idea what I exactly did, it was in 3 sessions and I really wonder if I will like the result but here it is before firing. Can't wait till it comes out o...
